Useful ways to help
- Interface feedback: share where a label, flow, or detail was unclear.
- Accessibility: describe keyboard, contrast, screen reader, or zoom problems.
- Documentation: identify explanations that are missing or out of date.
- Windows testing: report your actual Windows version and architecture, without assuming compatibility across systems.
- Implementation: discuss a focused change against the current milestone before starting a larger contribution.
Preparing a bug report
When opening an issue, include:
- The application build or source revision and Windows version.
- The smallest sequence of steps that reproduces the issue.
- What you expected and what actually happened.
- Whether you were using sample data or an eventual live inventory build.
- A screenshot or relevant error message, with personal information removed.
Do not include credentials, personal file paths, private documents, or an unreviewed full system inventory.
Security reports
Follow the application’s security reporting guidance and use GitHub’s private vulnerability reporting form for sensitive reports. Do not disclose sensitive vulnerability details in a public issue.
Developing from source
The application’s contributor documentation covers local setup, build requirements, and checks to run before submitting a change. Source builds are development builds; no public installer is available yet.
